I’d like to say that this is someone else’s mess but this is our home on Tuesday and Wednesday. The partial thaw on Tuesday [02/16/21] brought a leaking pipe shortly thereafter; once I fixed that situation (cut water off at the curb; cut out sheetrock and remove insulation; turned water back on to expose leak; went to Lowe’s and waited outside for two hours to gain access and purchase what I could; installed a block valve just to halt water flow so we could turn the water on), immediately another leak appeared in the same room, other sink. Luckily I had two valves. I was able to restore our water by Wednesday evening.
We are lucky to have water and electricity; absent this incident, if not for living near a hospital, I am certain we too wouldn’t have electricity.
